Partial Wraps vs. Full Wraps

Commercial Full Wraps vs Commercial Partial Wraps - Rocket Wraps

You're trying to make the right decision for your business vehicle or fleet but aren't sure whether partial or full wraps are the way to go?

Here are a few considerations to consider as you make your decision.

Budget

If you're working with limited cash flow, partial car wraps are the way to go. They are highly effective at branding your vehicle but require much less upfront money.

If you want to protect the long-term value of your fleet and have a little more cash flow to work with, go with a full wrap. You'll get a brighter, bolder look with a greater advertising ROI and protect every vehicle's paint job.

The ROI portion is important—in terms of advertising, a partial wrap doesn't perform nearly as well as a full wrap does, in part because vital contact information may only be seen from certain angles. Remember, car wrap advertising can account for up to 18% of your revenue, so it pays to think about how much you're willing to put into it.

As for the paint job, you must consider your long-term business fleet plans.

Design

Some companies like the streamlined, customized design of a partial wrap and enjoy using it to highlight specific visual elements by contrasting the wrapped and unwrapped areas.

If your existing branding supports a partial design, then a partial wrap could be the way to go.

On the other hand, full wraps support a much broader array of designs simply because you have a larger "canvas" to work with.

The Underlying Color of the Car

Does the vehicle or vehicles you're working with support or clash with your branding? Larger companies may have the luxury of buying the right color to go with their logos, making a partial wrap easier. Smaller companies may have to take whatever they can get.

If your logo is crimson and the vehicle is maroon, you might need a full wrap to cover the underlying color.
